Position: Dishwasher

Location: Bargeway Pub, The Dalles, Oregon

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Job Summary: Bargeway Pub is seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. The dishwasher is the backbone of our operations, ensuring that the kitchen and service staff have the clean tools and plateware they need to provide a great guest experience. The ideal candidate is a team player who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently.

• Maintain a clean and organized dish pit and storage area.

• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures for chemical use and equipment.

• Assist kitchen staff with light prep work or cleaning tasks during slower periods.

• Dispose of trash, recycling, and compost in the appropriate receptacles.

• Sweep and mop kitchen floors and ensure walkways remain clear.

• Monitor dish machine temperatures and chemical levels, reporting issues to management.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the kitchen lead or management.

  Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.

• Strong work ethic and the ability to stay on task in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work well with a team and follow directions.

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
