Position: Bartender

Location: Bargeway Pub, The Dalles, Oregon

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Job Summary: Bargeway Pub is looking for an experienced and charismatic Bartender to manage our bar operations. You will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing full-service dining at the bar, and engaging with our community of regulars. We need a professional who is knowledgeable about craft beer and spirits and can maintain speed and accuracy during a heavy rush.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards.

• Provide full food service to guests seated at the bar with a high level of attentiveness.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area.

• Monitor and manage tap lines and keg inventory.

• Verify guest identification and strictly adhere to all OLCC laws and safety regulations.

• Process payments and manage a cash drawer with 100% accuracy.

• Develop and suggest seasonal cocktails or drink specials in collaboration with management.

• Ensure a welcoming atmosphere while monitoring guest behavior for responsible consumption.

  Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 2+ years of experience as a Bartender in a high-volume environment.

• Deep knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and craft beer.

• Valid OLCC Service Permit and Oregon Food Handler’s Card.

• Strong multitasking skills and a "guest-first" attitude.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (keg handling) and stand for long shifts.

• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
