Position: Line Cook

Location: Bargeway Pub, The Dalles, Oregon

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary: Bargeway Pub is seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for food and cooking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that meet the restaurant's standards. You will work closely with the kitchen staff and management to ensure that all meals are served in a timely manner and meet the expectations of our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to the restaurant's standards and recipes

  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures when handling food and equipment

  • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure that all meals are prepared and served in a timely manner

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure that all ingredients and supplies are available when needed

  • Keep a clean and organized work area, including all equipment and tools

  • Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and specials

  • Ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's quality and presentation standards

  • Work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume restaurant or similar environment

  • Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
